The Nine Teas (T.N.T.) is the Twin Cities’ premier power trio delivering high-energy 90s alternative rock, grunge, and pop-punk anthems. From explosive full-electric festival sets to intimate T.N.T. Unplugged acoustic performances, they bring the decade's biggest hits and crowd sing-alongs to stages across Minnesota & Wisconsin.
T.N.T. UNPLUGGED
All-Acoustic 90's Alt-Rock Sets
Our "meat and potatoes" is and has been the rockin' live stage act that we've played all over the twin cities and in our neighboring WI counties, but as we wrapped our 2 night stint at the MN State Fair in '26 we wanted to shake it up a bit. So we're going to start offering our "TNT Unplugged" act starting in early 2027!
Bringing the classic vibe of MTV Unplugged to breweries, patios, taprooms, and more intimate venues that maybe wouldn't be as good a fit for the bombast of our full rock show, T.N.T. Unplugged delivers all all the goods in a familiar format that is also volume-friendly for smaller spaces with smiling faces.
- 🎸 Full acoustic instrumentation & vocal harmonies
- 🍻 Custom tailored for breweries, wineries, & outdoor patios
- 🔊 Controlled volume with max crowd engagement

The guys
Dev: Guitar/Vocals
Dev has been a gigging guitarist since the actual 90's - rocking stages everywhere from NYC to LA. Also an award-winning game developer and sound designer, he fronts the Twin Cities original instrumental band Tinynormous, recently released a solo EP "Rock Formations" of original music recorded at Pachyderm Studios (where Nirvana recorded In Utero), & teaches guitar/bass/drums at Musicians of Tomorrow. Dev brings an energy and level of musicianship that was clearly marinated in that unmistakable 90's sauce.
Sami: Bass/Vocals
Channeling decades of intense stage presence and instrumental mastery, Sami is known as the powerhouse guitarist and singer for the acclaimed midwest metal band, Oak Pantheon & is a veteran performer who has electrified audiences across the region. He is also an established video game sound designer and the mastermind behind the Astral Gunners soundtrack. Currently active with original metal band Vanishing Earth & the instrumental Dread Spells, Sami dedicates his high-level intensity and technical precision to celebrating the iconic alternative rock sounds of the 90's.
Matt: Drums/Vocals
Matt had to suffer through a year of trombone before anyone handed him drumsticks (worst fifth grade ever)! But once he found percussion, there was no turning back. Jazz, marching band, & concert band laid the foundation for his deep love of rhythm, and today he’s a fan of just about every genre under the sun. Recetly rocking stages around the Twin Cities, Matt provides a driving foundation for the triumphant 90's alt rock ceremony that is The 9 Teas live.
